Mars Delight
An irresistable Easter treat, and easy to make with children!
- 4 large mars bars
- 100g rice crispies
- 100g butter
- 130g chocolate (dark, milk or white)
- Chopped nuts (hazels, walnuts or almond flakes), 50g halved glace cherries and/or 50g glace ginger (optional)
Line a swiss roll tin with baking paper. In a large bowl melt the chopped up mars bars and butter (either over a pan of boiling water or in the microwave, stirring vigorously between microwave blasts). When soft add the rice crispies and nuts/glace fruit if using, and stir gently to combine. Pour into the tin, and put in the fridge to set. Once set melt the chocolate in the same way, and pour over the mars bar mixture, sprinkle with a few more nuts if desired, and allow to set. Lift out of the tin, cut into bite size pieces, enjoy!
